Discover the Gorge on Foot
Ashley Gorge Holiday Park is surrounded by a network of walking tracks that showcase the very best of the region’s native bush, river landscapes, and elevated viewpoints. These tracks are a major drawcard for visitors, offering everything from gentle riverside strolls to invigorating climbs.
Walk the Ashley Gorge Loop Track, cool off at the end of the Waterfall Track, take in sweeping views from the Skyline Track, wander among ancient tōtara on the Totaranui Track, or let the kids explore the enchanting Fairy Track.
The reserve also features a brand‑new wheelchair‑accessible track, created with the generous support of local sponsors and volunteers. This smooth, easy pathway opens the Gorge to visitors of all mobility levels, making the beauty of the reserve more inclusive than ever.
No matter which track you choose, every path offers fresh air, birdsong, and a chance to slow down and reconnect with nature
WHAT PEOPLE SAY
Natasha - Cozy Pod Stay
We stayed in the gorgeous cozy Pod. It was so quiet, the native birds were everywhere and the walks and scenery just amazing. The camp owners were so accommodating and friendly. Nothing was a problem and the kitchen and toilets were spotless. We will be back
